We’re excited to introduce a new, talented group of Student Athletes of the Week! These five incredible young people have shown dedication and drive to succeed in the sports they love. We’re proud to recognize them this week for all their hard work. Here’s this week’s lineup:

Student Athlete of the Week: Trevor Coggin Student Athlete of the Week: Maggie Miller

Farragut High School: Trevor Coggin
Year: Sophomore
Sport: Cross Country
Stats: Trevor led all Farragut runners with a time of 16 minutes, 15 seconds at the Admirals meet Saturday. He was a first-team All-Prepxtra selection as a freshman.

 

McMinn County High School: Maggie Miller
Year: Senior
Sport: Volleyball

Student Athlete of the Week: Josh Loveday Student Athlete of the Week: Ethan Scott

Central High School: Josh Loveday
Year: Senior
Sport: Golf
Stats: District Champion, Region Runner-up and TSSAA State Qualifier 

West High School: Ethan Scott
Year: Senior
Sport: Football
Stats: 12 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 1 sack

Student Athlete of the Week: Thomas Moats III

Lenoir City High School: Thomas Moats
Year: Freshman
Sport: Cross Country
Stats: Led the team with an 18:23 for the 5K race at Fender’s Farm on 9/19
