Each of them has worked hard to earn this accomplishment, and today we have the opportunity to highlight their leadership and drive. Here’s this week’s lineup of athletes:
Red Bank High School: Lumiere Strickland
Year: Senior
Sport: Football
Stats: 6.5 tackles (5 solo, assist, tackle for loss), 15 carries for 116 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 point return for 34 yards
West High School: Karly Kammann
Year: Junior
Sport: Volleyball
Stats: 142 kills, 87 digs and serve percentage of 91%
Knoxville Catholic High School: Riley Smith
Year: Senior
Sport: Cross Country
Stats: Finished 1st at West Side Farm Invitational with a time of 17 minutes and 16 seconds, placed 9th (out of 158) in the KIL Invitational with a time of 17 minutes 3 seconds.
Farragut High School: Chloe Chase
Year: Junior
Sport: Soccer
Stats: Chloe scored the go-ahead goal in the final seconds of Farragut’s 2-1 win at Jefferson County. She also scored the first goal in Saturday’s District Tournament victory over William Blount.
Knoxville Catholic High School: JT Quinones
Year: Senior
Sport: Football
Stats: 11 total tackles, 8 solo, 3 assisted, 2 tackles loss, 1 fumble recovery and 1 forced fumble
Farragut High School: Dylan Cosey
Year: Junior
Sport: Football
Stats: In Friday Night’s 35-13 win at Science Hill, Dylan recovered a fumble on a kickoff return and downed a punt at the Hilltoppers 2-yard line, setting up 2 Farragut Touchdown drives.
Central High School: Lucy Davis
Year: Senior
Sport: Volleyball
Stats: 1st team All-District 5-AA
