Get to Know Amy Maynor: Decatur Branch Supervisor

At SouthEast Bank, we know that our team is one of our most valuable assets. When you visit our branches, you’ll encounter the helpful, personable individuals that make SouthEast Bank stand out from the rest. Our “Get to Know” blog series highlights a few of these hardworking team members, and this week, we’re excited to introduce you to our Decatur branch supervisor, Amy Maynor.

Amy has worked in banking for 35 years and has been a part of the SouthEast Bank family for three. She’s also a Tennessee native, having grown up in the Niota area.

“I love the feel of small-town communities!” Amy said, “Decatur is much like Niota, where I grew up, and Englewood, where I’ve lived for 24 years.”

Amy’s love of her home state and passion for serving her customers make her an incredible branch supervisor. She also took the time to share a few details with us about her family and hobbies:

Can you tell us a little about your family/pets?

I’ve been married to my husband, David, for 24 years. We have two adult children, Laura and Ryan, and three grandsons. I love spending time with my grandkids and family.

What are your favorite hobbies or activities outside of work?

When I’m not at work, I enjoy reading, walking and relaxing on my porch.

Do you have a favorite TV show, movie, book, or genre?

I enjoy anything by Nicholas sparks, including both his books and movies!

Do you have a favorite sport/sports team?

I root for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Braves.

What’s one fun fact that someone might not know about you?

I won the “Most Timid/Shyest” superlative in both eighth grade and my senior year of high school.

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about Amy and the SouthEast Bank team. We look forward to sharing more stories like these throughout our “Get to Know” series.
