SouthEast Bank Makes $10,000 Donation to Help End Childhood Hunger in East Tennessee

SouthEast Bank concludes its Thankful Giving campaign with a $10,000 donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee’s Food for Kids program

(KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Feb. 16, 2021) – SouthEast Bank announces it has concluded its Thankful Giving program with a total donation of $10,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. The funds will benefit the nonprofit’s Food for Kids program, providing nutritious meals to East Tennessee children in need.

From Nov. 27 to Dec. 26, SouthEast Bank committed $0.05 to the Food for Kids program each time a customer swiped his or her debit card. SouthEast Bank President Monty Montgomery expressed his enthusiasm for the program and its impact.

Second Harvest Food Bank’s Food for Kids program is committed to fighting childhood hunger in the areas where it operates. In partnership with local schools, every Friday, Food for Kids discreetly provides food bags to teacher-identified students to ensure they have access to healthy meals during the weekend.
