SouthEast Bank Welcomes Michael Teets as New Cleveland Branch Supervisor

Knoxville, Tenn. May 15, 2024 – SouthEast Bank is proud to announce the addition of esteemed local professional Michael Teets to the team as Cleveland Branch Supervisor. Teets brings with him 24 years of well-rounded banking experience, 5 years as a certified financial advisor, and a passion for serving the Cleveland community.

Teets first moved to Cleveland in 2002 to earn his Accounting degree from Lee University, which he credits with teaching him the value of community engagement and service. While there, he began working for a local community bank that was later bought out by a national institution, taking him to Chattanooga for several years after graduation. However, he returned to the Cleveland area as soon as the opportunity arose, where he has lived with his wife and growing family since.

Teets says that working at a community bank is a passion that was instilled from those early college days. “I want to be part of a bank that people come into and feel like they are part of a family. Where we’re involved in the community and take the community’s interests to heart,” says Teets. “At SouthEast Bank, you get that good feeling as soon as you walk in the door. The products and services we offer, what we can do for our customers, it’s amazing.”

“From the day I met Michael, I knew he was the perfect fit for SouthEast Bank,” says Retail Banking Director Steven Brand. “He is a well-versed banker who cares about his team and his customers. While Michael is a great banker he is an even better person.”

SouthEast Bank welcomes Teets to his new role at the Cleveland branch and looks forward to the impact his leadership will continue to make on the team and community.
