The Daily Post-Athenian’s Best of the Best Awards are an annual celebration of the businesses and people who provide valuable services to the community in the greater Athens areas, including McMinn and Meigs counties. This year, SouthEast Bank was honored to be recognized as Best Bank.
This recognition is especially meaningful after placing runner-up in last year’s awards, reflecting the local SouthEast Bank team’s continual efforts to serve the community with a blend of quality banking products, local decision-making, and personalized customer service.

This announcement follows the tremendous turnout at SouthEast Bank’s Back to School Bash at our Athens branch on Saturday, August 2nd. Our local team was excited to give back to the greater Athens community with free barbecue from 2 Dudes BBQ, frozen treats from Mayfield Dairy, and a variety of kid-friendly activities including face painting, balloon toys, and a bounce house. Participants were encouraged to visit the “Stuff the Bus” tent from our friends at the United Way, where families could drop off school supply donations benefitting local students and register for the Imagination Library program.
