Every time you visit a SouthEast Bank branch, our helpful team is ready to assist you. Now, we’d like to introduce you to a few of the individuals who make banking with us so special. Today, we’re featuring Lisa Daniel, who leads our Spring City branch team.
Lisa has been in banking for 24 years, plus an additional seven years at a finance company before launching her banking career. While Lisa is new to the Spring City team as of this summer, she has been with SouthEast Bank for nearly 11 years. As a seasoned professional, Lisa’s confidence and expertise make her an exceptional branch supervisor.
With a passion for brightening customers’ and coworkers’ days, she brings warmth and enthusiasm to work with her daily. Lisa’s hardworking, encouraging personality makes it a pleasure to visit our Spring City branch. We asked Lisa to tell us a little more about herself, and here’s what she had to say:
Where are you from?
I’m from Graysville, Tennessee, a small town just outside of Spring City. I’ve lived in the area for my entire life.
What’s something you love about your job?
I love taking loan applications. It opens conversations with customers, and I enjoy getting to know them and learning about their goals as I go over their applications. I’m glad to be a part of helping them meet their goals. I enjoy having common-ground conversations, like talking about family or grandchildren.
Anything you’d like to share about your family/pets?
I’ve been married to my husband, Barry, for 36 years. I have a son and a daughter-in-law, as well as two grandchildren. My grandson, Brayten, just turned thirteen, and my granddaughter, Brinlee, is 21 months old.
Growing up, I had five brothers and one sister. We still make treasured memories during family gatherings, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We usually have 40 or 50 people for Thanksgiving dinner and our Christmas family gathering.
What are your favorite hobbies or activities outside of work?
Spending time with family. We enjoy driving the jeep through the mountains with the top down, riding 4-wheelers and side-by-sides.
Do you have a favorite TV show, movie, book, or genre?
My favorites are Hallmark Christmas movies and investigative shows like CSI Miami, Chicago PD and NCIS!
What’s one fun fact that someone might not know about you?
I love to talk, although I have to be comfortable to do so. Otherwise, I’d much rather stay unnoticed in the background. Silence drives me crazy. In one of our lender trainings, we learned that a lender has to be comfortable with silence sometimes when discussing things with a customer. I’m also happy to listen, but much prefer talking or listening over silence. I talk to strangers everywhere and love to shop.
