Good to Know: Amy Maynor, Decatur Branch Supervisor

Creating an outstanding banking experience begins with a strong team, and we at SouthEast Bank pride ourselves on making every experience with us a personal one.

That’s why we care about introducing you to the special team members you’ll see in our branches every day, like Amy Maynor. Tennessee living and excellent banking service run deep for Amy, who was born and raised in Niota and has spent 39 years cultivating a career in banking. Now, she’s a valued member of the SouthEast Bank family leading our Decatur branch, where she extends that same family treatment to every person and business customer in the community.

“I love the feel of small-town communities!” says Amy, “Decatur is much like Niota, where I grew up, and Englewood, where I’ve lived for 28 years.”

Amy may have been voted “Most Timid” in her younger years, but that hasn’t stopped her from being an involved member of her community. On the weekends she can be found watching sports as well as the quieter activities of reading, walking, and relaxing on her porch. In her personal time, she also cares about supporting local businesses and service providers, like Wade’s Food Center, Wade’s Ace Hardware, Wil-Sav Drug, and the Restoration Clinic.

Some of her fondest memories of leading the Decatur team have also been the toughest, when her team banded together and “carried one another” through difficult times. Recalling the effect of the pandemic in years past, Amy says, “That’s when we became a true work family, showing selfless dedication and compassion. I have such a great team in Decatur and the best customers as well!”

Amy is quick to count her blessings, chief of all her family. “I am very blessed to have two wonderful adult children, Laura and Ryan,” says Amy, “and I adore my grandsons, Wyatt, Bryson, and Dakota.”

Amy’s love of her community and passion for serving her customers make her an incredible branch supervisor. When you next visit SouthEast Bank’s Decatur branch, be sure to introduce yourself. If you like Nicholas Sparks or cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers or Atlanta Braves, you and Amy will have plenty to talk about!
