We at SouthEast Bank pride ourselves on making every experience with us a personal one, and that starts the moment you meet us. That’s why we care about introducing you to the special team members who you’ll see in our branches every day, like Daniel Elrod.
Over his career, Daniel has spent over 15 years in the banking space, including a previous 11-year stint as CSR at SouthEast Bank. He credits the trajectory of his career for providing him the opportunity to meet his wife of 13 years, Abigal: “Banking was a matchmaker for me.”
After three years in mortgage loan origination, Daniel has returned to SouthEast Bank to lead our Cleveland branch team. “Being a full-time lender gave me insight into the lending side of the banking experience, but I missed being part of a community bank,” says Daniel. “Not many banks in Cleveland can offer customers personalized banking for their needs. Here they can work with someone local to the area, shaking a hand and seeing a friendly face, rather than dealing with someone from a different city or state.”

A Cleveland native, Elrod attended Cleveland High School and Cleveland State Community College and is a long-time member of the Public Church of Cleveland along with his wife and their two children. On the weekends, you’ll find them visiting a pool – indoor or outdoor, depending on the weather – since his oldest is “a bigtime swimmer,” as well as enjoying time with their cat and two dogs. Daniel also enjoys kayak fishing and golfing.
Daniel looks forward to deepening relationships with the Cleveland community, including SouthEast Bank customers, whom he hopes won’t hold his football team against him. “I’m a Florida Gators fan, even though I was born and raised in Tennessee.”
