Each week, we have the pleasure of recognizing local organizations that serve the Middle and East Tennessee communities in ways both big and small. This Thankful Thursday, we’re excited to recognize The Samaritan Center, located in Ooltewah.
The Samaritan Center operates seasonal barrel drives in partnership with local businesses throughout the Ooltewah area. Their team collects items to give back to those in need in the community. The organization’s areas of focus include the Stock Their Lockers school supply drive and Christmas Toyland program, through which they collect school supplies and holiday gifts for families.
In addition to The Samaritan Center’s barrel drives, they also manage a Community Food Pantry and rent assistance programs. The organization’s team works hard daily to meet area residents’ needs, and this Thankful Thursday, we’re proud to feature their efforts.
