JOB CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-Exempt
HOURS: Schedule varies: Monday - Friday (3 shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM and 2 shifts from 11 AM to 8 PM); Saturday rotation 10 AM to 4 PM, with Friday off

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Private Loan Sales Associate is the first point of contact for clients and prospective clients who contact Southeast Bank’s private loan division. The Sales Associate handles customer inquiries via phone, text messaging, and email and processes loan applications through application to funding. Sales Associates also foster and maintain customer relationships through interactions during the loan application process. They may also provide work direction and/or training to lower level team members and provide performance feedback to supervisor/manager. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform all functions of a sales associate including interaction with new customers to complete loan application process and close new loans
  • Monitor the customer loan application process to ensure optimal results are achieved
  • Communicate politely with customers via phone, text messaging, and email to gather information to make appropriate decisions and explain rationale behind credit decision
  • Accurate and timely follow up with prospective clients' applications
  • Provide advice and help to customers regarding SouthEast Bank's services
  • Maintain accurate records of correspondence or discussions with customers through use of technology based CRM system
  • May provide work direction and/or training to lower level team members and provide performance feedback to supervisor/manager

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:

  • Excellent sales skills and highly motivated to achieve business goals
  • Financial services professional or college coursework taken in finance, mathematics, engineering, technology, accounting and/or business
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Above average computer skills with web proficiency and understanding of databases.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Customer sales experience handling high volume transactions preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services and/or consumer lending preferred.

Education Loan Finance Loan Underwriter

SUPERVISES: None
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Salary/Exempt
HOURS: Full time 8:00am – 5:00pm; Mon - Fri


    BASIC FUNCTION: The Private Loan Underwriter will perform a detailed credit analysis of a borrower, including employment records, income sources, and credit reports. The underwriter determines if the borrower’s financial ratios meet Southeast Bank’s lending standards and assists with the credit exception process. 


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

    • Evaluate borrower profiles to determine whether or not they meet SouthEast Bank’s credit criteria.
    • Review and analyze credit reports, tax returns, free cash flow calculations, non-standard income sources, and other documents provided by applicants.
    • Prepare and present applications that may be eligible for a credit exception to SouthEast Bank’s credit manager.
    • Identify common underwriting issues and work with the originations team to improve the process to address these issues.
    • Develop processes and procedures that will help reduce errors and inconsistencies.
    • Perform follow-up on accounts as required.


    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:

    • Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of the consumer credit report
    • Knowledge of common credit underwriting standards and pitfalls
    • Extreme attention to detail


    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least 2 years’ professional experience in a loan/credit underwriting role or 4 years’ experience as a Lead Processor
    • BS or BA degree, accepted.

    • Prior bank underwriting experience, desired.

    Education Loan Finance Data Analyst

    HOURS: Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm
    SUPERVISES: N/A
    JOB CLASSIFICATION: Salary/Exempt 

    BASIC FUNCTION:

    Requires a tech savvy detailed oriented candidate that can work with large data sets to produce summary outputs, multi-task across multiple projects, learn multiple product types, and have the ability to recognize and escalate issues within the underlying data. 


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Take and combine large data sets from the loan origination system, the third party servicer, the phone system, and other platforms, to produce reports that communicate the day to day analysis of the platform
    • Communicate with management on the results of reports and explain each of item of the reports
    • Manage reporting for each of the new products implemented and created
    • Determine requirements for new reports
    • Perform data entry and file maintenance on loan system.
    • Interface with our loan origination provider to gather appropriate data sets and problem solve issues
    • Interface with our third party servicer to ensure that any issues or problems are resolved


    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as backup for supervisor
    • Support other departments, as needed at the direction of management


    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:

    • Excellent written and oral communications skills
    • Accuracy and strong attention to detail Above average computer skills with web proficiency and understanding of databases or
    • large data sets
    • Be self-motivated and able to work independently

    SouthEast Bank BSA Analyst

    SUPERVISES: None
    JOB CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-Exempt 


    BASIC FUNCTION: Review, analyze and document customer activity to keep the Bank in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering (BSA/AML). 


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Assist in reviewing cash transactions, wire and official check activity to determine any
    • BSA violations or fraud activity
    • Review and document customer activity for compliance.
    • Assist BSA Officer to prepare for audits and exams.
    • Maintain biweekly FINCEN 314a report
    • Files Currency Transaction Report (CTR’s) to FINCEN
    • Pull in OFAC updates as published and search Customer Identification File (CIF) and
    • International ACH Transactions (IAT’s) for possible matches
    • Review IAT transactions daily against OFAC list suspects
    • Assist in reviewing all new accounts to ensure all information is in the system and accurate
    • Reviews kiting suspect list report for any possible kiting activity
    • Cross train with Assistant BSA Officer to serve as back up
